Father Thomas Babu, Pastor
 
  
Fr. Thomas Babu was ordained in 1999 in India and first came to the Diocese of Reno by invitation of Bishop Straling in April 2006.  He has served at St. Paul’s in Winnemucca, St. Joseph’s in Elko and, since 2009, as pastor at St. Michael’s in Stead.  Fr. Thomas is a joyful man who loves his priesthood and the church.  He is an incardinated priest of our diocese, which means he has committed to the bishop of the Diocese of Reno to serve out his entire priesthood here in our diocese.  He loves Nevada.  Fr. Thomas has good pastoral and administrative skills, is thoughtful, concerned about the people of the parish and always willing to serve.  He also serves on the Priest Council for the Diocese of Reno.

Monica Howk - Youth Activity Director
 
 Hello I am Monica Howk.  I have been a member of St. Teresa of Avila since
1979.  I am the Youth Activity Director (6 ^th-12 ^th grade) for the parish. My husband and I have two girls, and I have lived in Nevada most of my life. I love working with the teens and getting them on fire for God and His People!  I do this by planning events for them to interact with their peers, along with the community of St. Teresa and outside the parish. We are active with hikes, playing games, making blankets for those who are sick etc.  I feel blessed to be living out my faith and showing the teens how to do this on a daily basis.
